Author. Creator. Survivor advocate.
Michael Haukoos is an author and creator based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His work focuses on emotional abuse, coercive control, false narratives, reputation attacks, and the process of rebuilding after a life has been pulled apart.
His writing is built for people who were blamed for their reactions, isolated from support, misrepresented by people they trusted, and then expected to stay silent so everyone else could stay comfortable.
Michael’s work gives language to the patterns many survivors know deeply but struggle to explain: gaslighting, blame reversal, DARVO, smear campaigns, emotional manipulation, and the quiet damage caused by people who rewrite the story after causing the harm.
Books by Michael Haukoos
Michael is the author of A Testament to What Collapses, a multi-volume body of work about survival, identity, truth, collapse, and rebuilding after abuse and systemic failure.
He is also the author of survivor-focused works including Cast as the Villain and No Proof Required.
His books are not written for perfect victims.
They are written for real people.
The ones who reacted after being pushed too far.
The ones who were called unstable for finally telling the truth.
The ones who lost their voice inside someone else’s version of the story.
The ones rebuilding their name, their peace, and their future.
The message behind the work
You should not have to prove every wound before your pain is allowed to matter.
You should not have to turn your trauma into evidence before people treat you with basic humanity.
And you should not have to stay silent just because telling the truth makes someone else uncomfortable.
Michael’s work is about clarity, language, rebuilding, and voice.
Not revenge.
Not performance.
Not begging to be believed.
Just truth.
Just survival.
Just the decision to stop letting someone else write the final version of your life.
